Hello, fellow ArtWeLove enthusiasts!

We're back in The Big Apple, just in time to debut a brand-new edition titled Bowls by the great Paul Manes.

To me, Paul Manes - 62 years old, Texas-born, New York-based, a creator of works that are simultaneously raw and formal - is the quintessential artist.

Befitting his formal art education, Paul is deeply influenced by the great masters of the Baroque and Renaissance periods.

On the other hand, as an authentic child of the 1960s, he brings 40 years of living – living fully, richly, creatively, surprisingly, and most of all artistically - to his work.

I had the good fortune to meet Paul when I first came to New York in 1998. Back then, I didn't realize what a rare privilege it was to kick back and talk art with his friends and him, friends like renowned art historian Barbara Rose. Can you imagine? Me, new to The States and just starting my art education, discussing Duchamp and German photography with this group? Awesome!

Now let's skip to the present day, or close enough, a few months ago. And, of course, a description of how you can start to collect Paul's brilliant art.

When I told Paul about ArtWeLove, he liked the idea of making one of his works accessible to everyone, not just the Met, the Guggenheim, Yoko Ono, and collectors of that level. But what piece to re-invent for us?

During our studio visit, he asked me to choose my favorite work. I timidly asked for a 2001 drawing, Bowls, which embodies one of his favorite themes and makes particularly elegant use of the chiaroscuro technique. He graciously obliged. I was thrilled. And, now, here you are: Bowls, the ArtWeLove remix.

Why should you be excited about Bowls? Paul's quote, above, says it all. Bowls are one of the few man-made objects common to all cultures. Yet the diversity and differences across bowls say so much about what we contain and are contained by.

We're offering Bowls as museum-quality, limited-edition, prints available in two sizes: a more intimate 8 x 10 inches, with a print run of only 400, for $50; and a more grandiose 16 x 20 inches, with a print run of only 200, for $100.

These prints are made with fade-resistant, archival-quality ink and are printed on 100% cotton-rag, acid-free, PH-neutral watercolor paper.

Plus, if you look closely on the bottom left, you'll see his original signature!

Please consider making this marvelous edition part of your collection.

Questions? Please let me know. Happy collecting!
